Forget Roses, Bruce Eccles is “Coming Up Diamonds”!
Bruce Eccles, owner of Eccles Auto Service in Dundas was presented with the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal on Wednesday, November 14th at Horseshoe Valley Resort in Barrie.
The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal is a new commemorative medal created to mark the 2012 celebration of the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the Throne as Queen of Canada. It serves to honour significant contributions and achievements by Canadians.
Bruce was nominated by the Automotive Industries Association and is among 38 automotive professionals to receive the honour this year, due to his career-long involvement in professional development and government initiatives within the industry. A sought-after speaker by the AIA and its American affiliate, he is a vocal advocate who is passionate about forging strategic partnerships with suppliers in the automotive industry, and encouraging other business-owners to increase their business growth through the use of industry training, updated computer software solutions, website utilization, advertising and social media.
This is a tremendous honour for Bruce, who survived a harrowing motorcycle accident in 2010. He and his staff have been serving the community of Dundas and the surrounding area since 1984. Eccles Auto Service Inc. is a family owned and operated business that focuses on exceptional service and quality workmanship.
